So there was a mission set out early in October of 2012 ... to see the Rosetta stone. This meant that we had to go to London and that we had to catch up with the Bobster. Our mission blew out to a roadtrip, whooo hoooo WE ALL LOVE a roadtrip. Bath was to be the destination for a weekend of rest, fun and mischief.

Hello Ladies |
So us 4 Ozzie ladies were reunited, in London, well Charlton but lets
call it London :-) After a lovely meal of dumplings prepared by the host
with most (thanks Stevie) we succumbed to sleep. Breakfast did prove to
be interesting and I was able to demonstrate why I am called spaz. So
we looked for a toaster to toast my 'little bit of crumpet' but were
unsuccessful. So with the combined efforts of 2 Ph.Ds it was decided we
could use the oven grill. Great, oven got hot, crumpet went in and in
the process of pulling the kitchen apart for a second time ... this time
looking for a plate to put the said crumpet on once toasted, the
toaster was found, Hooray! In removing the crumpet from the oven my
finger caught the element and as expected, the element was a tad warm
and I was burnt. To prove that spaz is indeed my real name I then
demonstrated that microwaving honey for a minute is a great way to make
it very runny. It ran all over the crumpet, the plate, the table, the
floor and my poor burnt finger :-(

What is this misfit trying to do? |
|
Impatient people .... |
Bath is lovely little city. The pubs do great food, the
people are really friendly and nice and the history is easy to digest
and I have lived in Sweden too long as the UK was really cheap. We hit
the Roman baths at 4pm, perfect timing as we had them to ourselves and
we got to enjoy watching the sunset and the sky and water change colour.
I had my hopes dashed there ... as the audio commentary was by my all time
favorite author, Bill Bryson, and it was really DULL however the kids
commentary was awesome, the goat went eeek when its throat was cut
(awesome kids commentary). Drinks and dinner were fab and our
discussion in the cab on the way back to the hotel did entertain the
cabbie ;-O
We walked past all of the required sights and then I dragged one misfit to a certain house in Bath. I will let you think about what was discovered in the backyard of this address.

what was dicovered here? |
Back in London we wandered and roamed in the morning. There was some great street art to be seen and then we made our way to the British museum to achieve our objective. Tick!
